100 Day Challenge...

...to finish my novel.

So, I have not been writing.  I've been procrastinating more then usual, and so I've gotten like maybe a paragraph written in three days because of it. I'm working on my supernatural novel Dawn of Destiny. It's kind of like X-Men meets Harry Potter meets something...Anyway I really want this finished so I can move on to editing and then getting it ready to send to agents.

So this brings me to my 100 day challenge. From today- December 28th,2010 - until April 6th, 2011, I will write my ass off. Edit my ass back on, and then off again. And when its over I will have this story finished, wonderful, and ready to send to agents. But most importantly I will have a novel finished that I've been working on for years.

So come follow the journey as I try to do this at the same time that I work on losing two pant sizes in two months, AND start taking my first on line course.

If nothing else, 2011 will be really, really interesting.

...Insert witty title about snow here...

So, its snowing. A few days late in my opinion as I only really want snow for Christmas, then it can go away for all I care. But it's kinda nice having a storm day when you're free to do nothing but relax with your family. I just hope we don't get snow until may now...its happened. Anywho, that's it.

T'is the Season

So....How you doing? Doing good? That's good.

This blog was supposed to be just for my writing experiences and a little non, but I think it might not be ratioed a little differently.

So, christmas is over. Boxing Day is over, and a new year is about to begin. This year I've started resolutions earlier. (I'll have a blog for those later). I enjoyed my holiday. It was relaxing and fun.
I've realized how much I've grown up though. To me I could have happily stayed on the couch in my pjs, watching The Office (or The Simpsons) and drink tea. But Looking back at what Christmas meant as a child, it seems like a whole new holiday. Christmas was so much excitement, and presents back then. I remember not sleeping a peep because I just had to see what Santa had left. I would then awaken my parents at like four in the morning. True story, my mother made a rule where I couldn't leave my room  until at least eight. She even got to the point where she'd leave my stocking outside my bedroom door so I could go through it quietly in my room (most likely buying her precious moments of sleep). I have so many great memories of this holiday. Most of them are still there, but without Santa, a part of the holiday is gone. That innocence is no longer there, that waiting for the man in red to give us the toys we waited so patient (or impatient)ly all year for.

I still love the holiday. I also hear once you have kids some of that joy comes back by watching them. I believe that. I have no kids of my own but I love to watch my cousins open their gifts. It reminds me of a time when Christmas was life or death, and getting a new barbie was just as exciting as a mac book pro.

P4A

Hello all,

This year I finally did it! No, I didn't win the lottery. NO, I also did not get published yet. What I did, was participate in the Project For Awesome. What is the Project For Awesome you ask? Well dear reader, mind your own business! Just kidding. Project for Awesome is a project that was started in 2007 by John and Hank Green (otherwise known as the Vlogbrothers). It's where youtubers make videos promoting their favourite charities, helping those who need it, and making the world suck a little less. I've watched some in the past but this year I really participated. I gave money (they had online raffles this year) and am proud to say they reached 100,000 dollars, that will be going to various causes. Yays! *kermit arms* I also made two videos (one for SPCA, the other for the Breast Cancer Foundation). The third thing I did was rate, fave. and subscribe as many of the other P4A vids as I could.

I feel great having done something  good. It's such an amazing cause. I will defiantly be doing this again next year.

Well that's it for now.
